Mux is a video platform for hosting and streaming video. If you have a prerecorded video hosted in Mux, use its public Playback ID in your HeySummit session. Signed Playback IDs need a token; the named Mux source in HeySummit does not generate one. 1. Find your Mux video. In Mux, open Video > Assets and select the video you want to use.
2. Copy the Playback ID. In the asset details, open Playback and Thumbnails and copy the Playback ID marked PUBLIC. Use the Playback ID rather than the asset ID.
3. Add it to your HeySummit session. In your event dashboard, go to Content & Schedule > Sessions. Open the session's Actions menu, choose Manage Session, then open Broadcast. Select Pre-recorded and Mux. If the example in the field mentions another service, still use your Mux Playback ID. Paste it into Enter your Mux video ID or URL, review playback options, and choose Save and Close when ready. For more on the setup flow, see the pre-recorded video guide.
4. Preview your video. Check the player in organiser preview, then check the normal session page with an existing authorised attendee separately. Organiser preview can bypass HeySummit ticket checks and scheduled seeking. For the full process, see the video testing guide.
