If you're on the individual StreamYard plan and don't have the On-Air webinar feature to embed your live StreamYard video, one workaround is to stream it to YouTube and then link it to your event. You can find detailed instructions on how to do this in this help document.
Streamyard is a live streaming and recording studio accessible right from your web browser where you can create and record your content, or live stream to your preferred platform.
If you've selected StreamYard as your go-to broadcast provider for your pre-recorded talks but are uncertain about how to find your video ID, we'll walk you through the straightforward process of identifying and confirming your StreamYard video ID, ensuring a seamless and professional event experience.
1. Access Your StreamYard Video: Click the (...) icon associated with the StreamYard video you wish to work on and click Share.
2. Identify Your Video ID: Your video ID is the unique string of characters that comes after "https://streamyard.com/." In our example, it appears as "ns93t4mwz7kf."
Using the Embed Code Option: If you're opting for the Embed Code option, instead of clicking Share, navigate to the Embed tab.
3. Uploading your Pre-Recorded Talk: Here's a helpful article to help you with the step-by-step guide.
4. Preview Your Video: You can always review your video by visiting the Preview Page. For a detailed guide on how to do this, please refer to our step-by-step article.
You have the option to use Streamyard chat instead of the default HeySummit chat, which will be displayed during the session broadcast. Simply turn on the toggle to use Streamyard chat.
For the best attendee experience, we recommend using HeySummit chat (which includes Q&A and live polling). To use our chat, leave the toggle unticked and ensure that the chat feature in Streamyard is also turned off. You can adjust these settings before and during the session under On-Air settings > Watch Page by turning off Live Chat.
Note on Restrictions:
Please note that for Live Stream or URL broadcast type, you'll need Streamyard with On-Air Webinar, and it's recommended to have at least a Professional Plan (250 viewers) to have this feature. To check out their pricing plan and how many viewers each plan can accommodate, click here.
