Use a hosted wave.video recording for a pre-recorded session or replay. HeySummit’s named Wave Video source supports recordings; it is not a native wave.video live-stream source.
Find the video ID
In wave.video, find the video in your videos or Projects list. Open its three-dot menu and choose Player.
Open Embed, enable embedding and choose Inline embed. Copy the embed code.
See wave.video’s official embedding guide. In the iframe URL, copy the ID after https://embed.wave.video/, stopping before any query parameters. The example below highlights 96hx61RscSagCUk3; use your own video’s ID.
Add the recording in HeySummit
Open Content & Schedule > Sessions > Actions > Manage Session > Broadcast. Choose Pre-recorded, then Wave Video. Paste the video ID or supported embed URL, review playback options, and select Save and Close. For a separate recording after a session, choose Wave Video on Replay instead.
Check playback
Use the session’s Preview action and select the relevant pre-recorded or replay view. Confirm the video loads and plays while signed in as an event team member. Check the normal session page separately with an existing authorised attendee: organiser preview can bypass HeySummit ticket checks and scheduled seeking. Provider access settings still apply.
