If you're using wave.video to host your pre-recorded content, you can easily embed these videos into your sessions on our platform. While wave.video does support livestreaming, our current integration only supports pre-recorded videos.
This guide walks you through how to locate the Video ID, which is what you'll need to use in HeySummit when adding a wave.video source.
Step 1: Locate your wave.video video ID
Head over to your Wave.video account and navigate to the Projects section.
Find the video you'd like to embed. You’ll see a thumbnail representing your video.
Click the three dots (⋯) on your video thumbnail to open the options menu and click "Embed"
This will open a pop-up displaying the embed code for your video. While the full embed code appears, you only need the Video ID, which is the string of characters that comes after the last slash in the URL.
In the example shown in the screenshot, the video ID is:
96hx61RscSagCUk3
Once you have the Video ID, head back to your HeySummit dashboard and use it when adding the video to your session.
Always preview your video. For a detailed guide on how to do this, please refer to our step-by-step article.
