Add a hosted Wistia recording to a pre-recorded HeySummit session using its media ID. You can also use the Wistia source for a replay.
Find the media ID in Wistia
Open the video in your Wistia account. Find its hashed ID in the video’s Info panel.
A media-management URL can look like https://youraccount.wistia.com/medias/9ya5adzoen/manage. The media ID is 9ya5adzoen. Copy that ID.
Do not copy the ID from a public /s/ share link. Wistia uses a different ID for that link.

Add the recording in HeySummit
Go to Content & Schedule > Sessions, open Actions > Manage Session, and select Broadcast.
Set Broadcast Type to Pre-recorded and Provider to Wistia.
Paste the media ID into Enter your Wistia video ID or URL, review the playback options, then choose Save and Close. For a separate scheduled-session recording, choose Wistia in Replay instead.
Check playback
Use the organiser preview to check the player and layout. Check the normal page separately with an existing authorised attendee; organiser preview can bypass ticket checks and scheduled seeking. Review any Wistia access or embed restrictions too. For the full setup, see pre-recorded sessions. Supported scheduled players can seek to the elapsed broadcast time; see synchronised start times.
If you have embed code
HeySummit also offers a generic Embed Code source for trusted provider code. For Wistia, prefer the named Wistia source when you want HeySummit’s supported player controls and scheduled playback. Paste only the media ID in the native Wistia field.
