Use a Canva video design for a pre-recorded session or replay. The named Canva source needs the full design URL containing /design/, or the design ID. A short public sharing link is not a substitute for that ID.
Get an embeddable design
Open the video design in Canva and choose Share > See all > Embed.
Review Canva’s visibility notice and confirm Embed if appropriate. Copy the HTML embed code.
From the iframe URL, copy the design ID immediately after /design/. For example, https://www.canva.com/design/DAFabc123/watch has the design ID DAFabc123. Use your own design’s ID.
See Canva’s current embedding guide. Standard embeds are public. Enterprise or Education Districts private embeds require the viewer to have Canva access, sign in and allow the required cookies. HeySummit ticket access does not grant Canva access.
Add it to HeySummit
Go to Content & Schedule > Sessions > Actions > Manage Session.
For a scheduled pre-recorded session, open Broadcast and choose Pre-recorded. For a separate replay, open Replay, set Will There Be a Replay? to Yes, and select Choose another if a broadcast recording is already being used.
Choose Canva, then paste the design ID or full design URL. Select Save and Close.
Use the complete embed code instead
Choose HeySummit’s separate Embed Code provider and paste the complete trusted HTML snippet from Canva. Do not paste that snippet into the Canva ID field. Canva’s public view links can use short links; the native HeySummit Canva source does not resolve them to a design ID.
Test the result
Use the session’s Preview action and select the relevant pre-recorded or replay view. Confirm the video loads and plays while signed in as an event team member. Check the normal session page separately with an existing authorised attendee: organiser preview can bypass HeySummit ticket checks and scheduled seeking. Provider access settings still apply. If playback fails, recheck the design ID, embed publication and Canva viewer permissions. See pre-recorded setup and session previews.
