Add files or links to a talk

Share downloadable files or external resource links from a talk page.

Written by Holly

Add downloadable media to a talk when attendees need a handout, worksheet, slide deck, or external resource. Talk media is separate from the video source used for the live session or replay.

Add talk media

  1. Go to Content & Schedule > Sessions and choose Actions > Manage Session next to the session.

  2. Open the Media step.

  3. Under Downloadable media, select Add.

  4. Enter the public title attendees should see.

  5. Choose File to upload a file, or URL to link to an external resource. Uploaded files can be up to 10 MB.

  6. Optionally use Restrict to Tickets? to make the item available only to attendees with one of the selected tickets.

  7. Select Save on the Media step.

What attendees see

The item appears in the media area of the session page, subject to the session’s access and expiry settings. An unrestricted item opens from the session page for attendees who can access it. Anyone with the direct file or resource link may also be able to open it; use ticket restrictions when access needs to be limited. A ticket-restricted item can be opened by an attendee with the required ticket or eligible add-on; other visitors are directed to checkout. To add the video attendees watch during the session, use the talk's broadcast or replay settings instead. See Set up a pre-recorded talk for recorded-video guidance.
