Add a Loom video to a talk

Use a Loom-hosted video for a pre-recorded talk or replay.

Written by Jerica

You can use a Loom-hosted video for a pre-recorded talk or as a replay. HeySummit accepts the Loom sharing URL or the video ID, so you do not need to extract the ID manually.

Get the Loom video link

  1. Open the recording's share page in Loom.

  2. Select Share, set the link access to Anyone with the link, and copy the video link. Loom's sharing guide explains the current access options.

  3. Open the link in a private or signed-out browser window and confirm the video plays without requiring a Loom sign-in.

Add the video in HeySummit

  1. In your event dashboard, go to Content > Talks.

  2. Open the talk's ... menu and choose Manage Talk.

  3. For a pre-recorded talk, choose Pre-Recorded in the broadcast setup. For a separate replay, open the talk's replay settings and choose a replay.

  4. Choose Loom as the provider.

  5. Paste the full Loom sharing URL or the video ID, then save the talk. If you prefer to paste Loom's complete iframe snippet, choose HeySummit's separate Embed Code provider instead.

Test the video

Use the talk's Preview action and select the relevant preview view. Confirm the video loads and plays while signed in as an event team member. If it does not, recheck the Loom link and its access settings.

For the full HeySummit workflow, see Set up a pre-recorded talk and Preview a talk page before your event.
