Add and manage sponsors

Written by Benjamin Dell

Sponsors can help you promote your event and give partner brands visibility across your event site, emails, and attendee experience. In HeySummit, a sponsor can have one or more placements: Main, Category, Talk, or Stage.

To add a sponsor, go to Content > Sponsors and select Add Sponsor. The sponsor drawer walks you through Details, Placement, Booth, and Media.

Details: add the sponsor brand name, website, short description, full description, primary contact, social links, and optional custom sponsor categories. Custom sponsor categories are useful for labels such as Gold Sponsor, Technology Partner, or Media Partner.

Placement: choose where the sponsor should appear. A sponsor can use multiple placements.

  • Main sponsors are shown in broad sponsor placements, including the event landing page and email footer. They can also appear as fallback sponsors on talk, category, speaker, and stage areas when no more specific sponsors are linked.

  • Category sponsors are linked to selected talk categories and are highlighted on those category pages and related talk pages.

  • Talk sponsors are linked to selected talks and are highlighted on those individual talk pages.

  • Stage sponsors are linked to selected stages and are highlighted on the schedule when stages are used.

Booth: if Sponsor Booths are available for your event, you can activate a dedicated sponsor page and optionally turn on the sponsor's Chat Inbox. After the sponsor is saved, you can invite the sponsor contact to log in and manage their own booth details.

Media: upload the sponsor logo, choose the logo shape, add a page header graphic, sidebar promo banner, social sharing image, intro video, and downloadable files where relevant.

To edit custom sponsor categories, go to Content > Sponsors, open the page actions menu, and choose Manage Categories.

To control sponsor-wide display settings, go to Content > Sponsors, open the page actions menu, and choose Settings. From there, you can toggle Promote sponsor opportunities? and Show Sponsors In The Sidebar?.

If you want to hide main sponsors on specific public pages, open that page in the Page Editor and use Hide Sponsors? under Additional Settings. This setting is available on pages such as Speakers, Schedule, Replays, and Categories.

After updating a sponsor logo, there can be a short delay before the new logo appears everywhere on the public site and in regenerated promotional assets. If the correct logo appears in the sponsor list, the public site should catch up shortly.
