Choose between notable brands, sponsors, and affiliates

Understand which partner feature to use for logos, sponsor visibility, or commission-based referrals.

Written by Benjamin Dell

Notable brands, sponsors, and affiliates all help you work with event partners, but they solve different jobs. Choose the feature based on what the partner should do and what attendees should see.

Use notable brands for simple logo recognition

Notable brands are the lightest option. Use them to display logos for companies represented at your event, such as employers of your speakers or organisations associated with a talk. A logo can link to a talk or an external website, but a notable brand does not get a sponsor booth, partner login, or affiliate tracking.

Use sponsors for paid or featured event partners

Sponsors are designed for organisations that need structured visibility across the event. You can choose placements on landing pages, emails, blog posts, category pages, talk pages, and stage pages. You can also add descriptions, media, sponsor categories, and an optional sponsor booth or sponsor login.

Use affiliates for tracked referrals and commission

Affiliates promote your event with a unique referral link. HeySummit tracks eligible visits and purchases so you can calculate commission. Affiliates can be speakers, sponsors, invited partners, or public applicants, but an affiliate record does not automatically create sponsor placements or a notable-brand logo.

Use more than one when the partner has more than one role

The features can be combined. For example, a sponsor that also promotes ticket sales can have a sponsor record for public visibility and a separate affiliate record for referral tracking. A speaker's employer can appear as a notable brand without becoming a sponsor or affiliate.
