Edit or hide call-to-action buttons and banners

Written by Benjamin Dell

HeySummit uses call-to-action text in a few places on your event site, including the navigation button, registration CTA components, and the footer banner. New events commonly use Book my place as the default registration wording.

Change the call-to-action text

  1. Open Content > Translations from the left-hand menu.

  2. Search for the current wording, such as Book my place.

  3. Update the matching registration or navigation text, then click Save. If the same wording appears in more than one row, update each row that applies to the place you want to change.

Hide or adjust the page registration CTA

If your landing page uses a Hero Header with a registration CTA, open the Page Editor, select the Hero Header component, and use its registration settings. Turn off Show CTA? to hide that CTA, or change CTA Button Text to override the default label for that component.

You can also hide the email field so the CTA button takes visitors straight to the ticket selection page. In the Page Editor, select the registration CTA component and enable Hide Email Input?.

Close registrations entirely

To stop visitors from registering, go to Event Setup > Settings > Checkout Experience and set the registration status to Closed. This removes registration CTAs for public visitors. You can test the public view in an incognito/private browser window, because organisers may still see extra controls while logged in.

For more detail, see Turning off registrations.

Hide the footer call-to-action banner only

If you want to keep registrations open but remove the Ready to learn from the best? footer banner, open Theme Editor > Footer > Call To Action Banner. Set Banner Style to None (hidden).
