Visibility Of Speakers On Your Event's Page

Written by Benjamin Dell

If a speaker is missing from your public event pages, check both their presenter status and the event's public visibility settings. Whether a linked session is needed depends on your public visibility settings and page configuration.

Check the presenter status

  1. Go to Content & Schedule > Presenters.

  2. Choose Actions > Manage Presenter for the affected presenter.

  3. In Details > Private contact and status, turn on Active?.

  4. Select Save and Close. Repeat for other affected presenters.

Check public visibility

  1. Go to Event Settings > Event Experience > Presenter Experience.

  2. Under Public Visibility, review Show Speakers With No Talks?. Turn it on if presenters should appear before sessions are linked, then select Save.

  3. If that option is off, link the presenter to an active, non-cancelled session.

Presenters assigned only as hosts or moderators can also be affected by Create Pages for Hosts? and Create Pages for Moderators? under Event Settings > General > Event Basics > Other Settings. Filters or the configuration of a particular public page can further narrow the presenters shown.

Check the session

  1. Go to Content & Schedule > Sessions.

  2. Choose Actions > Advanced Settings for the session.

  3. Under Visibility and Display, enable Is Active? and select Save.

The session must also be non-cancelled and, except for Library or Course events, scheduled. An unapproved session submission is not publicly available. See what happens when a speaker or talk is inactive.
