You can choose whether HeySummit automatically emails calendar invites to speakers when their scheduled talk times are assigned or changed.
To turn this on, go to Content > Speakers, open Settings, then enable Automatically Send Speaker Calendar Invites? and save your changes.
This setting is off by default so speakers are not notified before you are ready. When enabled, HeySummit queues calendar invites for active speakers linked to future active talks. It also queues an invite if you add an active speaker to a talk that already has a scheduled time.
You can still send invites manually from a talk by choosing Send Calendar Invite(s). That panel shows each linked speaker's invite status, including No calendar invite sent yet, Invite sent, Last invite failed, or Missing email address.
If a speaker does not have an email address, HeySummit cannot send the invite and records that as a failed invite attempt so you can fix the speaker profile before trying again.
