Use Expire By Date when a ticket, add-on, or donation should stop giving access after a specific date and time. This is useful for limited-time access, post-event replay windows, or perks that should only stay available until a fixed deadline.
You can find this on the Expiry step when creating or editing a ticket, add-on, or donation. Choose Expire By Date, then enter the date and exact time when access should end.
The expiry setting controls access after someone has purchased or claimed the item. It does not control when the item is available for purchase during checkout. To schedule when a ticket price is available, use the price Date Range settings instead.
When an expiry is set, choose what it should apply to: event content, media, and/or perks. If none of those options are selected, HeySummit will ask you to choose at least one before saving.
Expiry controls are part of Advanced Ticketing. If the expiry fields are disabled or unavailable, your plan may not include advanced ticketing controls.
For existing ticket holders, HeySummit copies access settings onto each purchase when it is claimed or bought. If you change expiry settings later, new purchases use the new settings, but existing purchases keep their copied settings unless you sync the change to existing attendees. For more detail, see Changing permissions on a ticket after it's been claimed.
