Let attendees enter talks early

Choose how many minutes before a scheduled talk attendees can access its broadcast.

Written by Jerica

You can let attendees access a scheduled talk shortly before its published start time. This is useful when you want people to settle in, see pre-show content, or begin using the available interaction tools.

Set the early-entry window

  1. Open the event dashboard and go to Setup > General.

  2. Find Talk & Replay Experience and select Update.

  3. Under Additional Settings, enter the number of minutes in Let Attendees In Early (minutes)?.

  4. Use 0 when attendees should wait until the scheduled start time.

  5. Save the change.

What this changes

  • The setting is an event-wide default for scheduled talks.

  • HeySummit treats the talk broadcast as available this many minutes before the scheduled start time.

  • It does not change the talk date or time, start an external webinar room, or change when reminder emails are scheduled.

  • If a reminder sends attendees directly to an external webinar URL, access to that room still follows the webinar provider's own settings.
