How HeySummit and BigMarker work together

Understand what HeySummit manages, what BigMarker manages, and how to connect them for live talks.

Written by Benjamin Dell

HeySummit and BigMarker do different parts of a live event. HeySummit manages the event experience around your sessions, while BigMarker provides the webinar room used to run a live talk.

What HeySummit manages

  • Event pages, registration, tickets, schedules, and attendee access.

  • Speaker and host records, event emails, reminders, replay access, sponsors, affiliates, and event reporting.

  • The connection between a HeySummit talk and its BigMarker session.

What BigMarker manages

  • The live webinar room, presenters, streaming, room features, and recording settings.

  • BigMarker account access, API access, pricing, and registration or attendance capacity.

How the connection works

Bring your own BigMarker account and connect it to a Webinar Host in HeySummit. When you configure a live talk, HeySummit can create a BigMarker session or use an existing one. You can then choose whether attendees open BigMarker externally or use the supported embedded experience on the HeySummit talk page. Your BigMarker account must have the access and capacity needed for the live room; that provider capacity is separate from the attendee capacity available in HeySummit.
