Use the Vimeo source when a HeySummit video field asks for a Vimeo video ID or URL. This can be a session broadcast, replay, speaker or sponsor video, or another Vimeo video setting.
Find the Vimeo ID
Open the video in Vimeo and copy its video URL. For example, https://vimeo.com/871050379 has the ID 871050379. You can usually paste the full video URL into the Vimeo field.
Include the hash for an unlisted video
Unlisted Vimeo videos need their privacy hash as well as the numeric ID. Paste the complete link, or enter the ID and hash together.
Video link: https://vimeo.com/123456789/abc123
Player link: https://player.vimeo.com/video/123456789?h=abc123
ID and hash: 123456789/abc123
The hash in these examples is illustrative. Use your own video’s full link; the first number alone may not load an unlisted video.
Add it in HeySummit
For a scheduled session, open Content & Schedule > Sessions > Actions > Manage Session.
In Broadcast, choose Pre-recorded and Vimeo. For a separate recording after the session, use Replay and choose Vimeo there.
Paste the video URL or ID in the Vimeo field and select Save and Close. For other Vimeo settings, save the page you are editing.
Use the organiser preview to check the video and layout. Check actual access separately with an existing authorised attendee, because organiser previews can bypass ticket checks and scheduled seeking. See setting up a pre-recorded session for the full workflow.
Embed code and playback checks
If you choose Embed Code instead, copy Vimeo’s complete embed code from the video’s Share > Embed options. Do not paste iframe code into a Vimeo ID field. Check Vimeo’s privacy settings and allowed embed domains if the player does not load. For scheduled prerecorded playback, see synchronised start times.
