Set up a replay for a talk

Reuse broadcast content or choose a separate video provider for an attendee replay.

Written by Benjamin Dell

Replays let eligible attendees watch a talk after its scheduled broadcast. You can reuse supported broadcast content or choose a separate recording.

Choose how the replay is supplied

  • Use Broadcast Content: HeySummit offers this when the pre-recorded video or supported live-stream source can also provide the replay.

  • Choose Replay: use a separate recording from one of the providers shown in the replay picker.

Add or change a replay

  1. From your event dashboard, go to Content > Talks.

  2. Choose Replay Details for the talk, or choose Manage Talk and open the Replay step.

  3. If HeySummit already shows inherited broadcast content, keep it or choose Change. Otherwise choose Choose Replay.

  4. Select the recording provider and paste the requested video URL or ID. The picker shows the expected format for that provider.

  5. Save the talk and keep its replay enabled.

Check the attendee experience

  • Use the talk's Preview action and choose Replay to check the final page.

  • Make sure the video host allows the recording to be embedded and viewed by your intended audience.

  • Remember that ticket restrictions and replay settings still control which attendees can watch.

A connected webinar provider may add its recording after the session finishes. If it does not appear, add the recording manually using the steps above. For BigMarker, see Use a BigMarker recording as a replay. To remove replay access instead, see Turning off talk replays.
