Control speaker and talk promo banners

Written by Benjamin Dell

HeySummit's auto-generated speaker and talk promo banners are generated from your event branding, speaker details, and talk details. There is not a layer-by-layer editor for the generated banner itself, but you have several ways to control what organisers and speakers use.

Download the generated banners

Go to Promoting > Speaker Promo Banners to preview and download generated banners for speakers. Go to Promoting > Talk Promo Banners to preview and download generated banners for talks.

Set a global speaker/talk promo image

If you want one branded image to replace the generated speaker and talk social sharing image across the event, go to Event Setup > Settings > Branding & Content and upload a Global Speaker/Talk Promo Image. This is used for speaker and talk social sharing images unless a more specific image is set.

Set a speaker-specific or talk-specific image

For a single speaker, open that speaker and upload a Primary Promo Image in the speaker media settings. For a single talk, open the talk, go to the Media step, and upload a Primary Promo Image. These specific images override the global speaker/talk promo image and the auto-generated image for that speaker or talk.

Upload custom promotional assets

If you have designed custom graphics outside HeySummit, you can upload them under Promoting > Media Assets. Uploaded assets are useful when you want speakers, sponsors, or affiliates to download a specific set of files rather than using the generated banner.

You can also change the text and branding that generated promo images draw from, such as the event strapline and branding fields, under Event Setup > Settings > Branding & Content.
