Add a header link or custom page

Add an internal event page, external navigation link, or nested menu item to your event header.

Written by Holly

Header Links control the main navigation on your public event site. You can create a new page inside HeySummit, link to another website, or place a link under an existing menu item.

Add the link

  1. Go to Event Setup > Header Links.

  2. Choose Add Page.

  3. Enter a Title. HeySummit creates the page slug from the title, and you can adjust it before adding the page.

  4. Choose a Parent if the link should appear inside a dropdown menu.

  5. For a page you will build in HeySummit, leave External URL empty. To send visitors to another site, enter the full external URL instead.

  6. Review the optional visibility settings. You can restrict the page by ticket, include it on the Coming Soon page, or exclude it from the main navigation.

  7. Choose Add Page.

Add content to an internal page

  1. On the Header Links screen, open the new link's action menu and choose Edit Page.

  2. Use Blocks to reorder or manage the page structure, Components to add content, Properties to edit a selected block, and Page for page-level settings.

  3. Review the page at different preview sizes and choose Exit Page Editor when you are finished.
