Use the Blog Posts component when you want to show published event blog posts on a custom landing page, home page, sponsor page, or other page you edit with the Page Builder.
The component uses posts from Content > Blog Posts. Only published posts appear on the public page.
Add a Blog Posts component
Go to Content > Blog Posts and make sure you have at least one published post.
Open the event page you want to edit.
Click Edit Page.
Open the Components tab in the Page Builder side panel.
Find Blog Posts under the dynamic content components and add it to the page.
Select the Blog Posts block on the page, then open Properties.
Choose the settings you want, then exit the editor when you are finished.
Choose which posts appear
Use Blog Posts to Show if you want the component to show specific published posts. Leave it empty to show the latest published posts automatically.
Use Maximum Posts to control how many posts appear. The default is six. If you select specific posts, the maximum still applies.
Draft or unpublished posts are not shown in the component. If the page has no published posts to show, the component is hidden from visitors. While editing the page, HeySummit shows a message so you know where the component is.
Format the component heading
The Blog Posts component can include its own title and intro text. By default, the title is Latest Blog Posts.
In Properties, you can:
Change the title.
Add intro text.
Set Title and Intro Alignment to left, center, or right.
Hide the title or intro.
Turn Restrict Width? on or off to control how wide the component sits on the page.
What visitors see
Visitors see each post as a card with its image, publish date, and title. Clicking a card opens the full blog post on your event site.
If a post has a featured image, HeySummit uses that image on the card. If it does not, HeySummit uses the generated image for that post.
