Header links control the navigation shown in your event site's header. You can use them to show or hide core pages, add custom pages, link to external URLs, and organise your navigation into dropdowns.
Open header links
From your HeySummit dashboard, go to Event Setup > Header Links.
Use this page to edit, hide, show, reorder, or delete editable navigation links.
You can also open the same controls from the event site while editing content by choosing Edit Content > Edit Header Links.
Add a custom page
Click Add Page.
Enter the page title.
Review the URL slug that HeySummit creates for the page, and adjust it if needed.
Leave External URL blank if you want HeySummit to create a page you can edit with page components.
Click Save.
After saving, open the page from your event site and use the page editor to add content such as text, images, videos, and other components.
Link to another URL
If the navigation item should send visitors somewhere else, enter an External URL instead of leaving it blank. External URLs should start with http://, https://, mailto:, or / for an internal path.
Organise and control visibility
Use Parent to place editable pages under another editable navigation item. HeySummit supports top-level links, child links, and one additional nested level.
Use Active to show or hide the link publicly.
Use Include on Coming Soon Page when a custom link should appear before the event is live.
Use Exclude from Main Nav when you want the page to exist without appearing in the main header navigation.
Use ticket restrictions when a page should only be available to attendees with, or without, specific tickets.
If you want a page to exist but not appear in the header, hide it or exclude it from the main navigation. You can still link to it from another page or use it as part of your footer navigation.
