Use HeySummit's affiliate tools so partners, presenters, sponsors or public applicants can promote your event through referral links and earn commission on eligible sales. Your event needs affiliate management on its plan, and your dashboard role needs access to financial controls.
Enable the programme
Go to Event Settings > Payments & Partners > Affiliate Settings.
Set Run an Affiliate Programme? to Enabled.
Set the Commission Percentage (%) under Commission Rules, then Save at the top.
Choose who can join
Enable Signup Link Publicly Visible? to make the partner-program footer link available on an eligible non-free event. To share it privately, leave the link hidden and copy the destination from Affiliates > Affiliate Signup Form.
Enable Approve New Affiliate Signups? to review public applicants before they access the affiliate dashboard. A configured Optional Affiliate Agreement must be accepted when applying.
Use Auto Set Speakers as Affiliates? if presenters should also become affiliates. Enabling this and saving can add missing affiliate records for existing eligible presenters with linked accounts. Disabling it does not remove existing affiliates.
Set commission rules
The event percentage, Presenter Commission Percentage (%), Total Commission Cap, Min. Sales Required and Restrict to Tickets? govern eligible commission. Blank ticket restrictions allow otherwise eligible ticket sales. New affiliate records receive the event defaults; changing the standard percentage, cap, minimum or restrictions does not automatically replace those fields on existing records.
Use Ticket Commission Overrides for a ticket, add-on or donation rate. Product overrides have separate behavior: an affiliate-specific product override takes priority over the event product override, then the affiliate's standard rate.
For an individual rate, open Affiliates > All Affiliates > Actions > Edit Affiliate > Commission. Set Commission rate (%) or add a product override, then Save.
If changed event defaults differ from existing affiliates, All Affiliates can show Sync to affiliates. Read the named fields in the confirmation. Sync applies those fields to every existing affiliate and can overwrite individual settings. It also rechecks commission on earlier orders whose payouts have not been marked paid.
Manage affiliates and payouts
Use Affiliates > All Affiliates to add affiliates, approve pending applicants, copy referral links and open approved affiliate dashboards. The page menu includes Import, subject to your plan, and Affiliate Settings. Affiliates can review referral activity, purchases and commission in their dashboard. Creating affiliates is subject to your account's affiliate allowance.
Review attributed orders under Ticketing & Payments > Sales & Subscriptions, filtered by affiliate. Use Affiliates > Payouts for commission amounts and payment status.
HeySummit records what is owed; you arrange the payment. Mark as Paid records payment and does not transfer money.
Choose available Payout providers in Affiliate Settings and explain your Default Payout Terms. Affiliates supply the account identifier required by their selected provider, such as a PayPal email.
