Use Restrict to Tickets? when only sales of selected tickets should earn affiliate commission. If you leave the field blank, eligible affiliate-referred ticket sales can use your normal affiliate commission rules.
Go to Revenue > Affiliates, open Affiliate Settings, then select Update. In the settings form, choose the tickets that should qualify under Restrict to Tickets?, then save.
When one or more tickets are selected, HeySummit still attributes referred orders to the affiliate, but commission is only allowed on ticket purchases that match the selected tickets. Purchases for other tickets are excluded from affiliate payout totals.
This setting works alongside your other affiliate commission rules, such as the commission percentage, total commission cap, and minimum sales required before commission starts. You can also override commission percentages for specific tickets, add-ons, or donations in the ticket commission override section, and you can override settings for an individual affiliate when editing that affiliate.
Existing affiliates
Event-level affiliate settings are copied onto affiliate records when they are created. If you change ticket restrictions after affiliates already exist, HeySummit may show a message that the settings have not been applied to existing affiliates. Use Sync to Affiliates if those existing affiliates should receive the new ticket restriction. Syncing can override affiliate-specific settings for the fields you choose to sync, so review the warning before confirming.
