How Affiliate Payouts Are Tracked

After setting up an affiliate programme, you are wondering how affiliate payouts are tracked. For example, if your affiliate sends out their affiliate link to their network; someone in their network clicks on it immediately, closes the window, mulls it over and only returns to HeySummit the next day to purchase a ticket - does the affiliate still get a commission?

The answer is yes! Visits to HeySummit are tracked by the first affiliate link they use for 60 days. This means that if they click on an affiliate link and don't buy a ticket immediately, but then come back within 60 days, they will still be associated with the affiliate. Please note that if an attendee registers on a different machine or if they clear their cookies before registering then they will not be linked to the affiliate.

Even if they click on another affiliate's link within 60 days, they will still be associated with the first affiliate, and not the second.
