If a Spotlightr recording does not load, check the Watch Page link or ID and the video’s playback settings. HeySummit’s named Spotlightr source uses the Watch Page player.
Check the HeySummit source
Go to Content & Schedule > Sessions > Actions > Manage Session. Open Broadcast for the pre-recorded source or Replay for the replay source.
Choose Spotlightr, enter the correct Watch Page URL or video ID and select Save and Close.
Use Preview to check the relevant player. Check the normal session page separately with an existing authorised attendee; organiser preview can bypass HeySummit ticket checks and scheduled seeking.
Check Spotlightr playback and security
Confirm that the video has finished processing, its Watch Page is enabled, and the link plays for the intended viewer outside your Spotlightr account.
Review any security or access restrictions you enabled in Spotlightr. HeySummit access does not override them.
Spotlightr’s allowed-domain rules apply to embed codes and do not protect direct Watch Page links. Do not assume they secure the named HeySummit source.
If you use complete Spotlightr embed code through HeySummit’s Embed Code source and enable domain restrictions, allow your actual event domain and custom domain where applicable. Spotlightr asks for top-level domains without https:// or www.
See Spotlightr’s Allowed Domains guide and Watch Page sharing guide. For initial setup, see Add a Spotlightr video to a talk.
