Native webinar integrations in HeySummit

Written by Benjamin Dell

Use native webinar integrations when you want HeySummit to create and manage a live webinar or meeting for a talk through a connected provider account.

What native integration means

A native webinar integration connects a Webinar Platform Host in HeySummit to an external webinar provider. When you select that host on a live talk, HeySummit can create the webinar or meeting in the provider account, keep the talk connected to that session, register attendees where supported, and give speakers the correct join path while attendees continue to join through the HeySummit talk page.

Native provider options

Current native host options include Zoom Webinar, Zoom Meeting, BigMarker, LiveWebinar, Remo, GoToWebinar, and Webex. The options shown in your dashboard are the best source of truth because provider availability and account requirements can change.

  • Native integrations require you to bring your own account with the webinar provider.

  • HeySummit plans do not include a third-party webinar account, provider licence, capacity allowance, or paid provider subscription.

  • If you already have a session somewhere else, or you want to use a provider that is not available as a native host, use an external URL, live stream, or custom embed instead.

Connect a Webinar Platform Host

  1. In HeySummit, go to Setup > Webinar Hosts.

  2. Choose Add Host.

  3. Add the person or account that owns the webinar provider account.

  4. Connect the provider account yourself, or send login details so the host can connect it.

  5. When you create or edit a live talk, select that host as the talk's webinar provider.
