Delete an event

Schedule an event for permanent deletion and cancel safely during the seven-day window.

Written by Benjamin Dell

Deleting an event permanently removes its landing pages, attendees, talks, replays, recordings, and other event content. If you may need the event again, archive it instead.

Before you delete

  • You must be the event owner or a team member with permission to delete events.

  • Download any attendee, sales, content, or reporting records you need to keep.

  • Make sure you are managing the correct event before continuing.

Schedule deletion

  1. Open the event dashboard.

  2. Open the Manage menu in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Delete Event.

  4. Review the permanent-deletion warning and confirm.

HeySummit immediately unpublishes and archives the event, then schedules it for permanent deletion seven days later.

Cancel scheduled deletion

During the seven-day window, open the event's Manage menu and select Stop Scheduled Deletion. Confirming this clears the deletion schedule and reactivates the event.

After the deletion window has passed and HeySummit has permanently deleted the event, the event and its records are no longer available in your account.
