Use Delete when a talk should be removed from the public event. What HeySummit does next depends on whether anyone has registered for that talk.
Choose between making a talk inactive and deleting it
Make it inactive when you may want to restore the talk without treating it as cancelled. Go to Content > Talks, open Advanced Settings for the talk, and turn off Is Active?.
Delete it when the talk is cancelled or no longer belongs in the event. A talk with no registered attendees is permanently deleted. A talk with registered attendees is soft-cancelled, made inactive, and kept in the dashboard so its history is not lost.
Before you delete
Review or export the registrations from Reports > Talk Attendees. Deleting a talk with no registered attendees cannot be undone.
Delete one or more talks
Go to Content > Talks.
To delete one talk, open its actions menu and choose Delete. To delete several talks, select their rows and use the delete action for the selection.
Read the confirmation carefully and confirm only after you have saved any reports you need.
After a talk is cancelled
Cancelled talks are removed from public event pages and are hidden from the default talk list.
Turn on the Include Deleted Talks? filter to find a soft-cancelled talk. Use Un-Cancel Talk if you need to restore it; HeySummit makes it active again.
For a future talk on a live event, eligible registered attendees can receive the published Talk Cancelled email. An inactive email template, attendee communication preferences, or a past/inactive event can prevent that notification.
