Connect multiple webinar accounts from the same provider

Connect each HeySummit webinar host to the correct provider account without mixing up signed-in sessions.

Written by Benjamin Dell

You can connect more than one account from the same webinar provider to an event. Each HeySummit webinar host should be authorised against the provider account that will run that host's talks.

Add and connect each host

  1. Go to Setup > Webinar Hosts.

  2. Select Add Host and add the person or account that will host the webinar.

  3. On that host's card, select Connect and choose the webinar provider.

  4. On the provider's authorisation screen, check the signed-in account before approving access.

  5. Return to HeySummit and confirm that the host card shows the expected provider and an Active status.

  6. Repeat these steps for each additional host.

Keep provider accounts separate

When connecting another account from the same provider, start with a browser session that is signed in to the intended provider account. Sign out of the previous provider account first, or use a separate private window or browser profile. This prevents the provider's authorisation page from silently reusing the wrong signed-in account.

If the wrong account is connected

  • Open Setup > Webinar Hosts and select Reconnect for the affected host.

  • Sign in to the correct provider account and approve the connection again.

  • If you are using a custom event domain and the connection does not complete, retry from the event's HeySummit subdomain.

  • If the host card still shows an error, see Troubleshooting webinar provider and host connections.

For OAuth-based providers, you do not need to keep one provider session permanently signed in after connecting it. HeySummit stores the authorised connection and refreshes supported provider tokens when required.
