HeySummit can show supported Zoom meetings and webinars directly on the talk page. You can also keep the usual external experience, where attendees open the session in Zoom.
Choose embedded Zoom delivery
From your event dashboard, go to Content > Talks and add a talk or choose Manage Talk.
In the Broadcast step, choose Live Webinar, then select Zoom or Zoom Meeting.
Choose whether HeySummit should create a new session or use an existing one.
Under How should attendees join?, choose Embed in HeySummit.
Select the connected Webinar Host and finish saving the talk.
What attendees experience
When the talk is live, eligible attendees can join Zoom from the HeySummit talk page. If the embedded session is not ready or cannot load in their browser, the page offers an Open in Zoom fallback. Ticket and talk-access rules still apply.
When to open Zoom externally
Choose Open Externally when you want attendees to use the full Zoom app or web client outside HeySummit.
Choose a Custom Stream broadcast instead when you want a one-way stream from Zoom through a supported streaming provider rather than a Zoom meeting experience.
The embedded option uses Zoom's Meeting SDK for web. Zoom notes that web and component-view features can differ from the full client, so test the talk's Preview before your event. See Zoom's Meeting SDK documentation.
