Adding Speakers To Your Event

Written by Benjamin Dell

Add speakers from your event dashboard. The dashboard calls these records Presenters. You can add their profiles first, then create and assign their sessions separately.

Add a presenter

  1. Go to Content & Schedule > Presenters and select Add.

  2. Choose Create a new presenter to add one profile. Import presenters uploads a CSV on eligible plans. Add from presenter library copies saved profiles from the event owner's library; this option is unavailable if the library has no profiles.

  3. For a new presenter, enter the required First Name. Other profile fields, including Email, are optional. Add an email address if you want to invite the presenter to their dashboard or send session reminders.

  4. Use Next to work through Details, Bio, Booth, Media and Settings. To reuse the profile in future events, enable Save to presenter library? in Settings.

  5. Select Save on the final step.

Reuse profiles from the Speaker Library

The account-level Speaker Library keeps reusable profile details. The account owner can open Speaker Library from the account menu when that link is available. Adding a library profile to an event creates a separate event presenter record, so event edits do not automatically change profiles in other events.

  • You can also save an event presenter to the library from Settings > Save to presenter library?.

  • For a presenter already linked to the library, enable Update linked library profile? if you want the event edits to refresh that reusable profile.

  • The import chooser excludes library profiles already linked to this event.

Edit profiles, add sessions and invite presenters

  • To edit an existing profile, open Content & Schedule > Presenters > Actions > Manage Presenter. Update the relevant step and use Save and Close, or finish with Save in Settings.

  • Create and assign sessions under Content & Schedule > Sessions.

  • For presenters to update their own details, send their login details and review presenter permissions and access.

  • For public visibility, enable Active? in the presenter's Details step. Whether they also need a linked active session depends on your public visibility settings. See speaker visibility.
