If a speaker signs in to their Speaker Dashboard, they can access the talks they are speaking on without buying a ticket. If you want speakers, volunteers, or other helpers to watch the wider event like attendees, give them attendee access as well.
There are three common ways to do this.
Option 1: Automatically create attendee records for speakers
Use this when every speaker should receive the same ticket access.
Go to Event Setup > Settings.
Open Speaker Settings.
In Speaker Records, choose the ticket under Auto Create Attendee Record?.
Save your changes.
HeySummit will create an attendee record for each speaker using the speaker's email address and link that attendee to the selected ticket. This also runs for speakers you add later. If the attendee already has that ticket, HeySummit will not add it again.
Option 2: Import speakers or volunteers as attendees
Use this when you want to give access to a specific list of people, or when the people are not all speakers.
Go to Reporting > Attendees.
Open the three-dot menu and choose Import.
Upload a CSV with the names and email addresses you want to import. You can download the CSV template from the import window.
When asked Which ticket should we link these attendees to?, choose the ticket that should grant access, such as your all-access pass.
Imported attendees are linked to the ticket you select, and HeySummit treats that ticket as handled outside the normal checkout flow. Make sure your CSV uses the template headers and does not include unsupported characters.
If an import fails because someone already has an incomplete registration, check their attendee record under Reporting > Attendees. You may need to resolve or remove the incomplete record before importing them again.
Option 3: Share a coupon
If you want speakers or volunteers to go through checkout themselves, create a coupon for the ticket and share it with them. This can make the ticket free or discounted while still letting them complete the attendee checkout flow.
