If you collected registrations outside HeySummit, you can import those attendees from a CSV file. Only import people who explicitly registered for this event and gave you permission to use their details.
Before you start
The Import action depends on your account status and plan, and is unavailable while your account is over its attendee quota. If the action is unavailable, use the message in the dashboard to check what needs attention.
Use the downloadable CSV template. Email address and first name are required; last name is optional. The current template can also include columns for your attendee registration questions.
Each import links everyone in that file to one ticket price. Use separate imports when different groups need different tickets.
You must confirm that the attendees opted in and accepted the terms, privacy policies, and permissions required for your business and jurisdiction.
Import your attendees
Go to Reports > Attendees and select Import.
Select Download CSV Template, add your attendee data, and save the file as CSV.
Upload the file, then map each CSV column to the matching HeySummit field.
Choose the ticket price to assign. You can also add selected talks to the attendees' schedules and link the imported attendees to an affiliate.
Confirm the attendee permission statement, review the import summary, and submit the import.
Check progress and results
Go to Reports > Import Logs to view each import's status and row results. A queued or in-progress import usually takes between 2 and 60 minutes, depending on the amount of data. Open an import log to review any failed rows and their errors.
Existing attendees
The importer matches attendees within the event by email address. When an email already exists, HeySummit uses that attendee record. Any talks selected during the import are added to the attendee's existing schedule rather than replacing it.
