Presenters invited to their Speaker Dashboard can already access event sessions with that login, subject to the event's availability and status. They do not need an extra attendee ticket simply to watch the wider event. Separate attendee records are useful if you want them to use attendee registration and ticket workflows. Volunteers who do not have an event-team role need suitable attendee access.
Automatically create speaker attendee records
Go to Event Settings > Event Experience > Presenter Experience.
Under Presenter Records > Auto Create Attendee Record?, choose the ticket to assign, then Save.
HeySummit uses the presenter's email and the selected ticket's lowest-priced option. The ticket must belong to this event and have a price configured. It applies to existing presenters when saved and to presenters added later. An existing assignment of that ticket is not added again.
Import speakers or volunteers as attendees
Only import people who explicitly signed up for this event and gave permission. Your plan must support attendee imports and your account must have attendee capacity.
Go to Registration & Attendees > Attendees. Open the page's ... menu and choose Import.
Select Download CSV Template and use its headers for email address, first name, last name and any event-specific fields.
Choose Which ticket should we link these attendees to? and confirm attendee opt-in. Any required payment is assumed to have been handled outside HeySummit.
Upload the CSV and follow the remaining import steps. Review row errors and the resulting attendee records. Existing attendees are matched by email within the event; an incomplete registration is not a reason to delete their record.
If an import fails, check the reported row error and existing attendee record, correct the CSV where appropriate, or contact support. Do not remove registrations merely to force an import.
Let people register with a coupon
Alternatively, create a coupon restricted to the intended ticket and share it with the people you want to invite. A percentage discount of 100% can make that ticket free. They still complete the attendee checkout flow, and the coupon's dates, usage limit and ticket restrictions apply.
