If an attendee sees an international, foreign transaction, or currency conversion fee on their card or bank statement, that fee is usually added by their bank or card issuer. It is not a separate HeySummit ticket fee.
This can happen when the ticket is charged in a currency that differs from the attendee's card currency. Some banks or card issuers may also apply cross-border fees based on where the card, payment provider, or merchant account is located.
To make the ticket currency clearer during checkout, go to Event Setup > Settings > Billing & Tax Settings and turn on Show Currency Code?. This shows the currency code, such as USD or GBP, alongside ticket prices and checkout totals.
If you want to add an extra warning on the checkout step, go to Content > Translations, filter to Checkout, and update the checkout complete-order subheading. For example: Ticket payments are charged in USD. Your bank or card issuer may apply foreign transaction or currency conversion fees.
Because these charges are set by the attendee's bank or card issuer, HeySummit cannot predict or control whether a fee will appear. If an attendee is unsure, they should check with their bank or card issuer.
