Add testimonials to your event page

Add testimonials manually or import them from CSV, then show them on your event landing page.

Add testimonials when you want to show social proof on your event landing page.

Add one testimonial manually

  1. Go to Promoting > Testimonials and click Add Testimonial.

  2. Choose Create a new testimonial.

  3. Add the person's name, job title or company, optional photo, and their quote. Testimonial quotes can be up to 320 characters.

  4. Click Save.

Import testimonials from a CSV

If you already have testimonials in a spreadsheet or another event, you can upload them in bulk instead of adding each one manually.

Import testimonials option in HeySummit

  1. Go to Promoting > Testimonials and click Add Testimonial.

  2. Choose Import testimonials. If importing is not available on your plan, HeySummit will show that in the chooser.

  3. Upload a CSV that includes a quote column. You can also include name and job title or company.

  4. Map each CSV column to the matching testimonial field, then start the import.

CSV fields and updates

  • Quote is required and can be up to 320 characters.

  • Name and Job Title or Company are optional.

  • If an imported row has the same quote as an existing testimonial in the event, HeySummit updates that testimonial's name or title instead of creating a duplicate.

  • You can export testimonials from one event and import the CSV into another event.

Review failed rows

After an import, open the import log if any rows failed. The report shows the error for each row and lets you download the failed rows as a CSV so you can fix and re-upload them. Testimonial imports cannot be safely rolled back from the import log because an import may update existing testimonials as well as create new ones.

Show testimonials on your landing page

After adding or importing testimonials, edit your landing page and add the Testimonials component from the page builder components panel. Use the component properties to adjust how the section appears, including the title, carousel mode, navigation position, animation duration, testimonial order, and whether the person's name and title are shown.
