Public Access lets you make a specific talk available to visitors without requiring registration or a ticket purchase. It is useful for promotional sessions, community content, previews, or talks you want people to share widely.
When Public Access? is enabled, anyone with the talk link can view the live broadcast and, if a replay is available, the replay. HeySummit shows the talk as free to view with no registration required.
For public-access talks, interactive areas that depend on registered attendees are not shown. Live chat, Q&A, and polls are disabled for public-access talks, and talk comments are hidden on the public talk page.
To enable Public Access for a talk:
Go to Content > Talks in your event dashboard.
Open the talk you want to share publicly.
Open Advanced Settings.
In Attendee Limits & Access, turn on Public Access?.
Save your changes.
After saving, share the talk's public link with anyone you want to reach. Use Open Access? instead when you only want registered attendees to bypass ticket restrictions while still requiring them to be part of the event.
