Live polls let you collect structured feedback during a HeySummit broadcast, so attendees can answer questions without leaving the talk page.
Polls are part of HeySummit's interactive broadcast features, alongside Chat and Q&A. They can be used with embedded live streams and pre-recorded videos when interactive features are enabled for the event or talk.
To start a live poll, open the Polls tab in the chat widget and select the + button.
When you create a poll, you can schedule it to appear a specific number of minutes after the talk begins. You can also set a timer for how long attendees have to respond.
You can download poll results as a CSV from Reporting > Talk Reports or Reporting > Stage Reports. Open the row action menu for the relevant talk or stage date, choose Export Poll Results, choose the export settings, and HeySummit emails you a download link when the CSV is ready.
To show or hide the Polls tab across the event, go to Event Setup > Talk & Replay Experience and use Hide Polls Tab?.
If one talk needs to behave differently from the event default, open that talk's Advanced Settings, enable Override Event Interactive Settings?, and adjust Hide Polls Tab? for that talk.
Public Access talks do not show live chat, Q&A, or polls. If attendees need to use polls, make sure the talk uses the normal registered-attendee broadcast experience rather than Public Access.
