Per-talk registration mode lets attendees register for one talk at a time instead of registering for the event and then choosing multiple talks during checkout.
This is useful for events made up of standalone sessions, weekly webinars, interviews, or other talks that people may discover and join individually.
What changes for attendees
Attendees should start from the talk page they want to join.
When an attendee registers from a talk page, HeySummit automatically adds that talk to their schedule.
If an attendee starts the normal checkout flow without choosing a talk first, HeySummit sends them back to the schedule so they can pick a talk.
Per-talk registration is different from asking attendees to build a multi-talk schedule during checkout.
Turn it on
Open your event dashboard.
Go to Event Setup > Registration & Checkout.
Find the Can Attendees Build Their Own Schedule? section.
Turn on Per-Talk Registration?.
Save your changes.
Things to check
Auto Register To All Talks? and Per-Talk Registration? are alternative modes. Use per-talk registration when attendees should choose a specific session, not when everyone should be registered for every talk automatically.
If you want attendees to choose several talks during checkout, use the normal schedule-building settings instead, such as Required To Choose Talks? and Minimum Talks Required.
After turning this on, test one talk page as an attendee and confirm the registration button sends you into the intended single-talk flow.
