Use Remo with a HeySummit talk

Written by Benjamin Dell

To use Remo with a HeySummit talk, send attendees to your Remo event URL when the talk starts.

Add the Remo URL to the talk

  1. Create or prepare the event in Remo.

  2. Copy the attendee URL for the Remo event or session.

  3. In HeySummit, go to Content > Talks.

  4. Open the ... menu for the talk, then choose Manage Talk.

  5. When asked how you would like to broadcast the talk, choose Send to an External URL.

  6. Paste the Remo attendee URL.

  7. Click Save.

When the talk is live, attendees can join from HeySummit and will be sent to Remo.

What to check in Remo

External URL talks do not automatically register attendees with Remo. Check the Remo event's registration, privacy, and access settings so attendees can join as expected.

Email and attendee flow

Depending on your event settings, reminder-style emails may send attendees to the HeySummit talk page or include the external join link. Either way, attendees should have a completed HeySummit registration and the right ticket access before joining from HeySummit.

Before going live

  • Preview the HeySummit talk after saving the Remo URL.

  • Open the Remo URL in a private browser window to check the attendee experience.

  • Confirm whether Remo requires attendees to sign in, register, or use a specific browser before joining.
