HeySummit does not have a separate native Demio provider. To use Demio with a talk, send attendees to your Demio registration URL when the talk starts.
Add the Demio URL to the talk
Create or prepare the event in Demio.
Copy the shared Demio registration-page URL.
In HeySummit, go to Content & Schedule > Sessions.
Open Actions for the talk, then choose Manage Session.
Open Broadcast and set Broadcast Type to External URL.
Paste the Demio URL.
Select Save and Close.
When the session is available, attendees use its join button to open the external page in a new tab.
What to check in Demio
External URL talks do not automatically register attendees with Demio. Demio requires its own registration, then supplies each attendee with a personal join link. Use the shared registration page in HeySummit.
Email and attendee flow
Depending on your event settings, reminder-style emails may send attendees to the HeySummit talk page or include the external join link. HeySummit registration and ticket requirements depend on your event’s access settings. The provider’s separate admission requirements still apply.
Before going live
Preview the HeySummit talk after saving the Demio URL.
Open the Demio URL in a private browser window to check the attendee experience.
Confirm whether attendees need to register, wait for the event to start, or use a supported browser before joining.
Use the shared Demio registration page for a public audience. Demio requires registration and creates a unique join link for each registrant. Do not paste one attendee’s unique join link into HeySummit: sharing it can disconnect that attendee. See Demio’s registration guide. Test the normal session page with an existing authorised attendee as well as checking organiser preview. Organiser preview can bypass HeySummit ticket checks; it does not prove that an attendee has access to the external service.
