Vimeo offers a comprehensive suite of tools for video hosting, creation, live streaming, marketing, and communication. This versatile platform is a favourite among event organizers for its wide range of capabilities.

In this article, we will guide you through the simple process of uploading your video and verifying your Vimeo video ID.

1. Access Your Vimeo Video: Grab the Loom URL from your browser (something like https://vimeo.com/manage/videos/871050379)

2. Identify Your Video ID: Your video ID is the unique string of characters that comes after "videos/." In our example, it appears as "871050379."

Using the Embed Code Option: If you're opting for the Embed Code option, click Embed > Copy embed code.

3. Uploading your Pre-Recorded Talk: Here's a helpful article to help you with the step-by-step guide.

4. Preview Your Video: You can always review your video by visiting the Preview Page. For a detailed guide on how to do this, please refer to our step-by-step article.

Important Mention:
If you are using a Vimeo video from a folder, always look for the string of characters that contain numbers only.

Check out this help doc on Vimeo privacy settings if your attendees are having trouble viewing the video on HeySummit.

When attendees join your talk, the video will start playing from a specific point, calculated based on the actual elapsed time since the talk's scheduled start. You can learn more here.

Note on Restrictions:
Some plans with Vimeo state they offer "unlimited bandwidth". There are some disclaimers and potential additional fees. We do recommend you read about all that your Vimeo plan offers at the time of sign-up.
