Create and sell add-ons

Written by Benjamin Dell

Add-ons let you sell optional extras alongside your event, such as consulting calls, VIP community access, replay access, workshops, merch, or any other upgrade you want attendees to buy separately from their main ticket.

Attendees can buy add-ons during checkout, after registration through the Event Hub, from a direct add-on purchase link, or from an add-on component you place on an event page.

Where attendees can buy add-ons

If an attendee has completed registration and add-ons are available, the Event Hub can show a Browse Add-Ons option. The Event Hub appears on the public event site for logged-in attendees, unless you hide it in your event settings or theme settings.

Add-ons can also appear during checkout and after checkout, giving attendees another chance to upgrade after they have selected or purchased their ticket.

Create an add-on

  1. Go to Revenue > Add-Ons.

  2. Select Create Add-On.

  3. Add the name, description, quantity, icon, visibility, ticket restrictions, and whether the add-on should be hidden during checkout.

  4. Set the add-on price. Use 0 for a free add-on, or add one or more paid price tiers.

  5. Optionally add redemption instructions or a redemption URL that buyers see after purchase.

  6. Optionally grant extra event access, such as live broadcast, replay, or in-person access, and add any email/domain restrictions.

  7. Choose whether the add-on expires, then save it.

Paid add-ons require an active payment gateway. If a paid add-on cannot be purchased, check Event Setup > Payment Methods.

Sell add-ons from an event page

You can add an add-on offer to a landing page or confirmation page from the Page Editor. Open Components and choose Add-on for a single selected add-on, or use an available add-ons component when you want to show multiple add-ons.

For a single add-on component, the Page Editor can also set a special override price, countdown timer, button text, badge text, and display options. These page-specific settings are useful for limited-time upsells on custom confirmation pages.

You can also restrict add-ons so they are only available to attendees who have, or do not have, specific tickets. That is useful when an upsell should only appear to free-ticket holders, paid-ticket holders, or another segment of attendees.
