Manage VAT and tax details for your HeySummit subscription

Update the billing address and VAT or tax ID used for HeySummit subscription invoices.

Written by Benjamin Dell

Tax on your HeySummit subscription can depend on your billing location and the VAT or tax details attached to your account. Keep those details current so future subscription invoices use the correct customer information.

Update your billing and tax details

  1. Open My Account > Billing.

  2. Find Billing & VAT/Tax Details and select Update Details.

  3. Enter the billing name, billing email, and full billing address.

  4. If applicable, choose the tax country and enter the VAT or tax ID.

  5. Save the form. HeySummit validates the tax ID before adding it to the billing account.

How tax is shown

Your subscription invoice shows the saved billing address and tax ID, together with any VAT or tax calculated for that invoice. A valid tax ID may change the tax treatment where the relevant rules allow it, but adding an ID does not guarantee that every charge will be tax-free.

If an invoice looks wrong

Check that the billing country, address, and VAT or tax ID are correct before the next invoice is created. If an existing invoice still appears incorrect, contact [email protected] with the invoice number and the billing detail that needs checking. Do not send payment-card details by email.

This is separate from event-ticket tax

These settings apply to charges for your HeySummit account. Tax on tickets sold to attendees is configured separately for each event under Event Setup > Settings > Billing & Tax Settings. See Set up tax and billing details for event tickets.
