Samba Live is now part of Digital Samba. For a live Digital Samba room, use HeySummit’s Live broadcast > Embed Code option with the full room embed snippet. This is a generic embed; HeySummit registrations do not automatically create Digital Samba registrations or access tokens.
Get the correct room code
For Digital Samba Embedded, open Rooms, find the room, then choose the three-dot menu and Embed code. Copy the complete iframe snippet. The current Digital Samba room guide shows this workflow. Legacy Samba Live accounts supplied through a partner may have different controls; get the room’s embed code from that partner rather than following the Embedded dashboard steps.
Add the live room to HeySummit
Go to Content & Schedule > Sessions. Find the session and choose Actions > Manage Session.
Open Broadcast. Set Broadcast Type to Live broadcast and Provider to Embed Code.
Paste the full trusted snippet into Paste your Custom Embed code, then select Save and Close.
The room appears inside the HeySummit session page when the provider allows embedding. Keep the permissions and dimensions supplied by Digital Samba and check that the room fits your page; a fixed 410-pixel height is not a HeySummit requirement. Use Pre-recorded only for a recording, not merely to embed a live room.
Check access before the session
Review Digital Samba room privacy and roles. Public and private rooms have different access requirements, and private rooms can need an individual token. Do not publish a host or privileged token as an audience link.
Check the room’s name, admission, camera and microphone prompts with the intended attendee role. A HeySummit registration alone does not satisfy those provider requirements.
Arrange an early camera and microphone check for hosts and presenters. Joining a Digital Samba room can create a new live session, so plan tests accordingly.
Use organiser Preview to check the player or layout, then check the normal session page separately with an existing authorised attendee. Organiser preview can bypass HeySummit ticket checks.
