Use Webinato with a HeySummit talk

Written by Benjamin Dell

HeySummit does not have a separate native Webinato provider. To use Webinato with a talk, send attendees to your Webinato room or session URL when the talk starts.

Add the Webinato URL to the talk

  1. Create or prepare the session in Webinato.

  2. Copy the attendee URL for the Webinato room or session.

  3. In HeySummit, go to Content > Talks.

  4. Open the ... menu for the talk, then choose Manage Talk.

  5. When asked how you would like to broadcast the talk, choose Send to an External URL.

  6. Paste the Webinato attendee URL.

  7. Click Save.

When the talk is live, attendees can join from HeySummit and will be sent to Webinato.

What to check in Webinato

External URL talks do not automatically register attendees with Webinato. Check the Webinato room or session settings so attendees have the right link, password, and access instructions before the talk starts.

Email and attendee flow

Depending on your event settings, reminder-style emails may send attendees to the HeySummit talk page or include the external join link. Either way, attendees should have a completed HeySummit registration and the right ticket access before joining from HeySummit.

Before going live

  • Preview the HeySummit talk after saving the Webinato URL.

  • Open the Webinato URL in a private browser window to check the attendee experience.

  • Confirm whether Webinato asks attendees for a password, app, browser, or other access step before joining.
