If you use LiveWebinar for live talks, connect a LiveWebinar account to a HeySummit host first. When a talk uses that host and the Live Webinar broadcast type, HeySummit can create and sync the LiveWebinar room for you.
Connect LiveWebinar to a host
Go to Event Setup > Webinar Hosts.
Add a host, or choose an existing host. A host is the person or account responsible for the external webinar provider. The host may also be the speaker, but does not have to be.
Click Connect on the host card.
Choose LiveWebinar and follow the authorization flow.
After authorization, the host should show as Active.
If the connection later expires or is revoked, return to Event Setup > Webinar Hosts and reconnect the LiveWebinar account.
Create a LiveWebinar talk
Create or update your speaker from Content > Speakers.
Create or update the talk from Content > Talks.
In the broadcast settings for the talk, choose Live Webinar.
Select the LiveWebinar-connected host.
Choose how the webinar should be created: Create New, Share Existing, or Set Manually. For most talks, use Create New so HeySummit creates a scheduled LiveWebinar room for that talk.
Save the talk. HeySummit will sync the title, start time, duration, description, and webinar details to LiveWebinar.
You usually do not need to enter a Webinar ID when using Create New. Use Set Manually only when you have already created the LiveWebinar room yourself and want HeySummit to use that existing room.
Attendee experience
Attendee emails link to the HeySummit talk page rather than exposing the underlying LiveWebinar room link. When an attendee has the correct ticket access and the talk is live, they enter through HeySummit and the LiveWebinar room is shown in the live talk experience.
LiveWebinar attendees are not pre-registered in the same way as Zoom Webinar or BigMarker attendees. HeySummit identifies or adds them dynamically when they arrive on the live talk page.
Your LiveWebinar plan may limit scheduled rooms, overlapping sessions, recordings, or live attendance capacity. If LiveWebinar blocks a room because of account limits, overlapping sessions, or plan restrictions, adjust the event schedule or contact LiveWebinar support.
Time zones
HeySummit syncs the scheduled talk time to LiveWebinar. If LiveWebinar displays a different timezone label, attendees should still use the HeySummit event schedule and talk page as their source of truth.
Recordings
When LiveWebinar makes a recording available after a talk, HeySummit can sync the most recent recording back as a replay. Recording availability and retention depend on the connected LiveWebinar account and plan.
