If an attendee unsubscribes from one of your event email types, HeySummit records that on the email log for the message they unsubscribed from. You can use Email Logs to find recent unsubscribes and then open the attendee's communication preferences if you need to check or update their settings.
Find recent unsubscribes
Open your event dashboard.
Go to Reporting > Email Logs.
Use the Status filter and select Unsubscribed. You can also search by recipient email address or subject.
Look for rows with the Unsubscribed badge. This means that recipient unsubscribed from that type of email from that message.
Email Logs show recent event email activity. In production, the list is focused on the last 14 days of email logs, so older unsubscribe activity may not appear there.
Update an attendee's email preferences
Attendees can unsubscribe or resubscribe themselves from the unsubscribe link in HeySummit emails. If you need to update an attendee's event email preferences manually, go to Reports > Attendees, find the attendee, and open Comms preferences. From there you can choose which event email types that attendee should receive, such as event information, attendee offers, speaker offers, talk reminders, and SMS reminders when SMS reminders are enabled for the event.
What unsubscribe means
An unsubscribe is specific to the recipient and email type, not necessarily every possible email from HeySummit. The unsubscribe page lets recipients update multiple email preference checkboxes or unsubscribe from all available email types. HeySummit records the originating message as unsubscribed when the recipient turns off that message's email type.
