Manage or unsubscribe from HeySummit event emails

Let attendees, speakers, sponsors, or hosts change optional event email preferences, or update an attendee's preferences as an organiser.

Written by Benjamin Dell

Recipients can use the unsubscribe link in a HeySummit event email to choose which optional email categories they want to receive. The available choices depend on whether the recipient is an attendee, speaker, sponsor, host, or account holder.

Change your own email preferences

  1. Open an email sent through HeySummit and select Unsubscribe in the footer.

  2. On the preferences page, leave checked only the categories you still want to receive.

  3. Select Update. To turn off every optional category shown, select Unsubscribe from all emails.

Update an attendee's preferences as an organiser

  1. Open the event dashboard and go to Reports > Attendees.

  2. Open the actions menu for the attendee and select Comms preferences.

  3. Turn each available email or SMS category on or off, then save the changes.

Access emails are different

Unsubscribing changes optional communication preferences. HeySummit may still send access emails, such as sign-in or magic-link emails, when they are needed for someone to access their account or event.
