Understand and manage attendee capacity

See which registrations use attendee capacity and how to increase or reduce your usage.

Written by Benjamin Dell

Attendee capacity is the number of completed attendee registrations currently counted across your active events. It is separate from the number of active events your plan allows.

Check your current usage

Open your account menu to see the current capacity summary, or go to My Account > Billing and find the capacity section. The total combines the attendee allowance included with your plan and any additional attendee capacity already attached to the account.

Which attendees count

  • A completed registration counts while its event is not archived and registrations remain open.

  • Demo records and demo events do not count.

  • Closing registrations or archiving an event removes that event's attendees from current capacity usage. Archiving also makes the event inaccessible to attendees.

  • The same person registered for two active events counts once in each event because each registration is an event record.

Increase or reduce capacity

  • Use Manage Capacity from the billing page when additional attendee capacity is available for your plan.

  • Upgrade your plan if a different included allowance or plan feature set better fits your events. Check the current HeySummit pricing page rather than relying on a fixed number in this article.

  • Close registrations on an event that no longer needs new sign-ups. See Turning off registrations.

Related limits

Your active event quota controls how many events can accept registrations at the same time. Your webinar or streaming provider can also have its own live-participant limit, which is independent of HeySummit attendee capacity.
